Ok I know I can upgrade the CPU but am I stuck with using a 25w CPU, or can a push it a little and go with a 35w?
Also, does anyone have any information about how to open the case properly and the Mobo ? For example, does it have a Express Card slot? I have a picture of the motherboard that I found off ebay, but I can't really tell because the picture isn't very big.
I really want to put this Phenom II in this laptop but its a higher wattage than the Original CPU.

I have the same laptop. I just upgrade the cpu to a AMD Phenom II x920 BE. The whole process isnt hard if you have the pdf manual. It pretty much explains and shows steps by step how to remove everything.
ReplyDeleteAs for the cpu, it is running fine so far. I didnt notice any negative hits on it like battery loss, or heat problems. So I think going from 25w to 45w is safe, but still havent really pushed it yet. Things open so much faster than they did before. IMO, it was a good investment
