im trying to find a storage for dvds,pictures,music and files that my tv can access movies and pic and my computers can access all the above

What does the manual of the TV (you didn't tell which one) say about getting movies and pictures from a hard disk? It might even be able to play the music!

its a sony bravia lcd model #kdl-4ove5 it has 7 hdmi 1 usb 2 rbg 2 rca 1 s-vidio and i dont have the manual

I think it's kdl-40ve5 (zero), not kdl-4ove5 (small letter o).

Anyway, http://esupport.sony.com/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DOCS&PRODTYPE=36&template_id=1®ion_id=1 lets you download the manual. I'm sure that will be a big help to select and use a disk drive.
