I have only windows computers at home, although for some reason i recently bought an Apple Airport express. Probably because its a lot faster than the old router Ive got now. But I have a problem when i try to set it up. When I plug in the Express and the cable from the cable modem then start Airport utility, it cant find the Express. Ive tried using my laptop and connecting it straight into the modem, but that doesn't seem to fix anything. It always just tells me to rescan and its getting pretty annoying... Has anyone else had this? Could someone please tell me what im doing wrong?

When you move connections on a cable modem we need to power down the cable modem, move the ethernet and power up the cable modem then the next thing or else it may not work with the new connection.
