That critter is extinct and I believe is flowing through our automobile fuel systems. Sinclair was also a gasoline brand here years ago and I believe it may have been named after that dinosaur. That brand is also extinct. Perhaps when we are all gone, we'll be providing fuel for later generations as well. So keep saying the name as you may someday be the new "Sinclair".

This was the only (reasonably well known) Sinclair I'd heard of

as long as you didn't get in his way, news-wise.
Used to watch the Canadian stations from across the river in Detroit. He was on a chat show with Gordie when the latter was chasing the all-time goals mark; The veteran Sinclair (pron. Sink'ler, I believe) was positively awestruck.

The Sinclair Oil company is still out there. It started in 1916 and was named for Harry Sinclair. At one point it was the 7th largest oil company in the U.S. Link to their company information site:

I'm thinking Steve knew it would have been the founder- not a dinosaur- with that name; he can blame the stupid software!

I remember reading something about a smaller dinosaur called the Sinclair that was a prolific breeder or some such and that, though most of the oil came from vegetable matter, that dino accounted for most that was animal matter. I've since looked up whatever I remember reading only to come up empty. All that comes up is plastic models of Sinclair's "Dino". Come to think of it, plastic is largely a petroleum product, isn't it? That's what happens when the aging rely on memory instead of research.

the second thing to go.
Look for Latin words or terms that would remind you of "sinclair"; don't know of any dinos that have English names, outside of the idiotic kids movies popular the last few years.
Uhh ... what was it that's "the second thing to go"?
