Samsung 3D Plasma TV C680 Discontinued?

I wanted to purchase the Samsung 58" C680 Plasma TV and went to Samsung web site to research, but it's not there. Samsung Support Rep said this model is no longer in production. I believe the 680 series just came out end of 2010, so it was only on the market for a few months. Can anyone confirm its discontinuance? Were there issues with this model? It was touted to be one of the first affordable 3D TVs. I can still buy it today, but not sure I want to now. Thanks.

Production problems.
Not selling good so they canned it.

Also new models are coming out very soon.

It is a Samsuck so no loss.

Thanks for the response, but I had no trouble finding this Samsung TV model for sale. Rather, my question was - do they still make this model? It cannot be found on the Samsung web site, and the Samsung service rep informed me that it was no longer in production. Since it was only introduced at the end of 2010, if they did already discontinue it, why? I may but it anyway.

Not sure where you have been regarding electronics in North America for the last five or six years. Models are regularly replaced, even less than one year. If one of their reps says it's no longer in production, an HDTV from aug. 2010, mind you, that's probably a good sign that something else is in the pipeline.

FWIW, you likely did not enter the complete model number. Sammy is fussy about that.

I did find their support info for the C680, thanks. I thought it was odd to discontinue since the 7000 and 8000 models were still in production when introduced earlier. They did not promote the C680 and now its discontinued, although it did get good reviews. I want a large screen for lower price with good quality 2D picture,(3D is not needed, but OK if included). I can get the LG 60" PK550 for $1,300, but the picture not as nice as Samsung c680. Also, it does not have anti-glare and high energy use.

The C 680 has been replaced by the PN550 series plasmas.
