I am trying to get Ubuntu working correctly on my sons computer, the mobo is a Intel Desktop Board D845GRG, Intel does not officially support Linux on the board but there are other people using it... However among the plethora of Google searches and forum searches i can't find the answer to my problem...
The problem that i am having is that certain 3d apps, or even screen savers cause Ubuntu to crash (black screen with horizontal lines flashing in the upper left corner of the screen), i think this may have to do with the chip set but i am new to Linux and have no idea how to correct the problem or check the drivers...
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
