Command and conquer generals, does not run on my laptop?

Hey.



I am trying to install Command and Conquer generals on my new laptop with Windows 7. It installs and when I try to run it, the game gives me a "serious error"



I have tried on my old laptop with Windows 7 and the game runs fine on that.



I tried changing the compatibility mode, but it does not make a difference.



I have tried some fixes online that makes the game work, such as changing the options.ini, but then I cant seem to play online/multiplayer.



Someone know how I can make the game work on this laptop?
