I have the ultimate N 6300 and have noticed an immediate improvement in download speeds.. and there are 3 antenna slots but there are only 2 of them labeled #1 and #2

I also use the 6300, and it was simple to install. Yeah, the hardware that is in my R2 was sufficient to install this card.

Anyone have a quick link to that post that describes how to switch the card? I've searched but can't seem to come up with the proper keyword to find it.

Thanks!

1.Remove back cover.

2.Remove Black and White antenna wires.

3.Remove screw,then remove card.

4.Install new card.

5.Use 2 outside connectors for reattaching antennas. The 6300 has 3 but the M11x only has 2 so leave the middle one unattached.Reinstall cover.

6.Install drivers and enjoy.

I changed out to the 6200 and did see some distance improvement along with reception. Be careful with the screws that hold the OEM one in. Mine were a little harder to get out than I expected.
