Anyone have any suggestions or know of any deals for a new 256 meg SSD for the new R3?

Does the R3 have a 6Gbps interface? I'd recommend OCZ Vertex 3....

The R3 supports SATA3, so there's really no point in getting a SATA2 drive when you can take advantage of the new interface.

Get this one

Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex Series OCZSSD2-1VTX250G 2.5" 250GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

No idea if it will work (it should), but its only $300 for 250 gig.

Is there a link showing that it supports SATA 6GBPs? because I am VERY skeptical...

If it does, don't get some washed-up, has-been SSD like the OCZ Vertex 2. Get one that will actually use it.

Crucial RealSSD C300, for example.

Not sure if the Vertex 3 is on the market yet...?

It has SandyBridge, therefore it supports it.

It does.

It also "supports" gigabit ethernet, but it doesn't have that :P

I wouldn't spend the extra money on a SATA 6GB SSD until somebody proves it with a benchmark. just sayin.
