D630 Owners Thread

Hi Everyone,



I just received my D630 in the mail today. I've been fishing around the boards to get good information and feedback from other D630 owners. I especially want to give thanks to FrostKnight for posting such an informative review (it really helped with the purchasing decision).



Now seems to be the time where most of the NVS 135M units are shipping/arriving. I thought with the said graphics card issues, etc. it would be nice to have ONE location to come and chat about our new laptops. My apologies if this exists (just axe it and show me the other thread). With that said, here are my specs:

I'm really excited seeming this is my first laptop. I do have a couple questions off the bat...



1.) I have an option of purchasing Vista Premium from school. What are your thoughts on the upgrade...should I hold out for other drivers drivers? Is my system capable of running the version?



2.) Has anyone experienced any serious issues thus far that they know I should correct at this point? (e.g. The sound issue some have noted)
